Scooter’s Coffee taps ParTech’s Brink POS for franchise

Scooter’s Coffee, a 22-year-old franchise, is deploying ParTech Inc.’s Brink POS system for its franchise system.

This year, Scooter’s Coffee expects to open 70 stores after launching 64 stores in 2019, according to a press release, and now has locations across 16 states.

The partnership with ParTech will facilitate new opportunities across a wide range of operational systems including inventory and labor management, mobile order ahead and video analytics, according to Missy McKinley, vice president, operations and training, Scooter’s Coffee.

« With a business in a $48 billion recession-resistant industry, and strategic growth targeting more than 1,000 stores in the next five to seven years, ParTech will be an important strategic partner with Scooter’s Coffee, contributing to the success and growth of our valued franchisees, » she said in the release.

After implementing Brink, the first improvement Scooter’s Coffee expects to gain is a delay-free kitchen display system that dramatically reduces staff frustration due to real-time order communication between front and back of house, according to the release..

The brand will also be able to reduce barista onboarding time by half as a result of the menu customization allowed on Brink POS-powered screens.

« The Brink display screens show all of the ingredients that make up the drink (milk type, number of shots in the drink, etc). This is super helpful when training new baristas and helping them learn drink recipes. There is far less lag time, or none even, between typing in the order to the POS and it appearing on the display screen, » said Mackenzie Burnett from Loving Cup, a company that owns several Scooter’s Coffee franchises, in the release.
